For you both!!!
Sitting here at my computer listening to pandora.com and the most awesome song came on that I never heard before. As soon as I heard the words it reminded me of my Great Nan and Gandpa. I miss you both, and I love you always. This song is for you both:

Josh Groban - To Where You Are

Who can say for certain
Maybe you're still here
I feel you all around me
Your memory's so clear

Deep in the stillness
I can hear you speak
You're still an inspiration
Can it be (?)
That you are my
Forever love
And you are watching over me from up above

Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile to know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

Are you gently sleeping
Here inside my dream
And isn't faith believing
All power can't be seen

As my heart holds you
Just one beat away
I cherish all you gave me everyday
'Cause you are my
Forever love
Watching me from up above

And I believe
That angels breathe
And that love will live on and never leave

Fly me up
To where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile
To know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

I know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

Appreciation (An Eye Opener)
While doing my reading for my ISS 220R (Changing Concept of Childhood) course I stumbled upon something that really touched me and it made me appreciate life even more. Imagine living a life without a roof over your head, no clean water, or no available health care. Scary isn't it?

Well take a look at this:

Over 16 per cent of children over five in the developing world are severely malnourished. Nearly half of these 90 million children live in South Asia.

About 400 million children - on average one in every five children in developing countries - have no access to safe water.

One in every three children in the developing world - over 500 million children - has no access whatsoever to sanitation facilities.

About 270 million children, or just over 14 per cent of all children in developing countries, have no access to health care services.

Over 640 million children in developing countries experience severe shelter deprivation, which those in sub-Saharan Africa clearly the most deprived.

Over 140 million children in developing countries - 13 per cent of those aged 7 - 18 year - have never attended school.

Over 300 million children in developing countries are deprived of information, lacking access to television, radio, telephone, or newspapers.

Reference: The State of the Worlds Children 2005: Childhood under threat.

I don't know about you, but it makes me feel very thankful for all the opportunities I have. And then I wonder, Is my morning Tim Horton's tea worth replacing. Absolutely! A childs' life is worth anything and everything.

Come And Gone
Another year has come and gone.

I just got back from my Christmas vacation in Newfoundland feeling relaxed and ready to start school again. It was good to see all my family and friends, but I am not sure if I want to go back there for Christmas net year. I think I am going to go in February or something because at lest then there will be lots of snow. I did get one ride on skidoo while I was home, but it was not enough. Plus I think I am going to try and graduate from Waterloo by next December, so I get eight months off to relax before Mohawk. Therefore, I have plenty of time to go back home for a visit.

I didn’t really do much while I was home. I hung out with friends most of the time (And no I didn’t drink all the time). I visited some family and spent time with others. I took a trip to Corner Brook to spend some time with friends. While in there I did some partying, went to a movie, lots of walking around, watched a few movies, visited family, and spent time with AJ. J
During New Years I went to the New Years Ball with friends. We had a few drinks, but danced for most of the night.

All in all it was an okay trip and I will be going back there in six months or so. For now its time for me to concentrate on school again.

Lots of Love
